Thanks to her cousin, Kate, Mae has a new collection of beautiful skirts to wear to school this year! Thanks, Kate, for growing out of all of those cute skirts--Mae absolutely LOVES them!
The video below is a quick take of her getting on the bus. The bus was almost 20 min late the first day (leaving to school) and Mae forgot to get off the bus at our house after school, so for us the bus was almost an hour late getting home--we were pretty worried about our little girl! Anyway, not pictured in the video below is Ian's reaction to Mae going on the bus when he actually thought that he was going to be able to get on as well. Every day Ian cries on the floor because Mae has gone to school on the bus and Dad has gone to school on the scooter--and lucky Mom gets to stay home with him (poor kid)!
Anyway... enjoy!

Sounds like a bit of a traumatic bus experience. I'm glad she made it home safe. How is life with Mae at school? Can't wait to hear all about it when we see you this weekend.
I can't believe you have a child that old! Crazy how time flies. She is so adorable!
I am surprised at how she just walked right on by herself. She looked slightly nervous, but she still did it. brave girl. I know mine will be screaming and crying next year when it is his turn. She looked really cute by the way.
I can't believe Mae is in Kindergarten! Isaiah starts in 2 weeks and he is soooo excited! Mainly because that is when I told him he can stop taking naps. I hope his bus rides work out better because Isaiah doesn't do well with unexpected happenings.
Mae is absolutely adorable!! It's funny how quick they grow up...and yet in the middle of a tantrum time seems to eek by. Your kiddos are just beautiful!!
That is so cute. And at least now the whole bus thing makes a good story for her first day of school. :)
I must be a mean Mom, Charley wanted to ride the bus the first day of Kindergarten (3 yrs ago!) and I told her that as a Mom it was my official duty to walk her to the door on the first day. It was definitely harder for me than it was for her.
