Swimming with Grandma

My mom came to St George with her sisters for a little getaway weekend and invited us to her condo/resort for a swim! The kids had a lot of fun and we are thinking of hiring grandma as Ian's personal swim instructor--he was having a blast with grandma and became more and more daring in the pool as time wore on.

He loves jumping to his grandma!

Noah had a lot of fun too, but we forgot his floating toy thingy that allows him to chill in the pool--instead we all had to trade off with carting him around the pool and he loved it.

Mae was her usual self--having a great time!

I also discovered that she finally likes to be launched--without fear!

Thanks, grandma, for the invitation! We had a lot of fun and hope to see you soon--this time in Beaver!

This one is for Ashlie:

We went bowling in Stillwater before we left and she got a strike! By the way, don't bother looking at what happens in the lane next to her--it is of no import.

One thing we love about living in St George...

...is that we get to have our Family Home Evening with even more family. Last week Mae gave a great lesson on Lehi's vision and the example Nephi set by following his parents. Ashley was in charge of the music, Grandma said a prayer, Dad made the cookies, Grandpa said a prayer, and Mom gave a scripture. Ian was in charge of the game.

Noah is getting in on the "Elephun" action.

Everybody seems to be having a good time. Who would have thought that catching butterflies that are blowing out of an elephant's trunk would be so much fun!?

Time to tally up the butterfly total and reload.

It looks like Ian picked the right game--he seems to be having the most fun.

So... what have we been doing lately?

Some of you have asked...

Because we live in Utah now and see the majority of you, it seems like there is little need to update so often. However, for those of you who still miss us... here is a list of some of the things we have been doing:

Noah sneers a lot. He thinks it is really cute and loves to get our attention that way. If you couldn't tell, he has two teeth now and drools constantly.

Mae has learned to make her bed on the top bunk--and has only fallen out in her sleep one time (luckily there was a pillow there)! Ian (apparently much to his dismay) has also learned to make his bed every morning.

Mae has been experimenting with her own unique hairstyles--we haven't quite given her the green light to go to school that way yet.

Baths are fun because we can nearly all fit in the tub!
